This Chocolate Peppermint Pot de Crème is pure holiday elegance. Rich, velvety chocolate brightened with just a touch of cool peppermint, a true holiday favorite!

Amy LaBelle's Chocolate Peppermint Pot De Crème Recipe:


Ingredients:

  • 18 oz Semisweet Chocolate, Chopped

  • 3 Cups Milk

  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream

  • 12 Large Egg Yolks

  • 5 oz Sugar

  • ½ Tsp Salt

  • Whipped Cream 

  • Crushed Peppermint Candies


Directions:

  1. Place chopped chocolate in a bowl, set aside.

  2. Whisk together the milk, heavy cream, yolks, sugar and salt in a saucepan and cook over medium heat.

  3. Stir mixture constantly until the mixture is thick enough to coat the spatula and almost to boiling (approximately 5-6 minutes).

  4. Immediately, pour the mixture over the chocolate. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes.

  5. Using an immersion blender, blend until combined and smooth.

  6. Pour into mini martini glassed and refrigerate until set.

  7. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the top .
