New Year’s Eve Sparkling Wine & Bourbon French 75

This Sparkling Wine Bourbon French 75 is my go-to New Year’s Eve cocktail! It's festive, elegant, and full of bubbly cheer!

Ingredients:


Directions for the Homemade Lemon Simple Syrup:

  1. Simmer lemon peels (just the yellow part, not the white part) with 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan, just until the sugar is dissolved.  Do not boil.

  2. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool completely. 

  3. Remove lemon peels, and store in a mason jar in the fridge.


Directions for the Cocktail:

  1. Directly into a champagne flute, pour bourbon, bitters, and .5 ounces of lemon simple syrup

  2. Top with about 3 ounces of sparkling wine and garnish with a lemon twist. 

  3. Enjoy!


Amy's Recipe Tips:

After making the lemon simple syrup put it in the fridge and you will have it for up to two weeks for more delicious cocktail creations!
