Spicy Gingered Pomegranate Mule

This Spicy Ginger Pomegranate Mule is a fun and creative cocktail I like to make during the holiday season to wow my family and friends!




Amy LaBelle's Spicy Gingered Pomegranate Mule:


Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Vodka

  • 1 ounce LaBelle Winery Riesling

  • 1 ounce Grapefruit Juice

  • 1 ounce Pomegranate Juice

  • 1 Jalapeňo Slice

  • 1 - 2 ounces Ginger Beer

  • Pomegranate Arils

  • Sugared Rosemary for Garnish

     

Directions:

  1. Fill a cocktail glass with ice.

  2. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice

  3. Combine vodka, wine, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice and jalapeño slices and shake for 30 seconds. 

  4. Strain into your prepared glass and top with ginger beer and garnish with pomegranate arils and sugared rosemary sprigs


Directions for the Sugared Rosemary Sprigs:

  1. Place 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar into a saucepan and heat on low until sugar is melted. Do not boil. 

  2. Remove from heat and dip rosemary sprigs into simple syrup to coat

  3. Remove them with a slotted spoon to a piece of parchment paper.  Let dry one hour. 

  4. Then roll then in sugar or spoon sugar onto them to coat and let them dry until needed.  



Amy's Recipe Tips:

Depending on how much spice you want, you can add more or less jalapeños. I like to make mine extra spicy!
