Warm Spiced Oolong Whiskey Punch

My Warm Spiced Oolong Whiskey Punch recipe is cozy, comforting, and full of holiday spice.




Amy LaBelle's Warm Spiced Oolong Whiskey Punch recipe:


Ingredients

  • 1 ounce LaBelle Winery Riesling

  • 1.5 ounces Bourbon (we like Bulleit)

  • 1 ounce Oolong Tea, brewed and cooled

  • 1 ounce fresh orange juice

  • .5 ounces warm spice simple syrup (recipe below)

  • .5 ounces lemon juice

     

Directions:

  1. Fill a cocktail glass with ice

  2. In a shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients and shake for 30 seconds. 

  3. Strain into your prepared martini or coupe glass and garnish with a cinnamon stick.


Directions for the warm spiced simple syrup:

  1. Place 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar into a saucepan and heat on low with one star anise, one cinnamon stick, and the peel of one half an orange (just the orange part, not the white part). 

  2. Simmer for 10 minutes and let stand to cool.


Amy's Recipe Tips:

Don’t rush the steep! Let your oolong and spices mingle for a few extra minutes for a rich, cozy depth of flavor.
